Front Desk/Event Staff

MetroRock Tyngsborough is looking for enthusiastic front desk/event staff! In this customer facing role, you will work with people of all ages and abilities. You will work closely with the management team, who oversees gym operations. Code word on the application is maple syrup.


Responsibilities:

  • Check in members, sell day passes, memberships, retail equipment

  • Be knowledgeable on all programs offered and able to communicate them effectively to customers in person and over the phone.

  • Conduct orientations and belay tests

  • Belay for parties and group events

  • Enforce safety protocols

  • Bring stoke!

Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 17 years old

  • Prior work experience preferred

  • Weekend availability REQUIRED

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proven problem-solving skills

  • Must be top rope belay certified. Lead certified is a plus

Summer Camp Counselor

MetroRock Tyngsborough is looking for Summer Camp Counselors to support our camps from late June through the end of August. We would like these positions to be full-time, with hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. As a counselor, your primary focus is to create an enjoyable and safe experience for all campers. This would include creating an atmosphere where campers feel comfortable taking risks, encouraging campers to participate in various activities, helping create opportunities for campers to grow together, and providing them with a positive, memorable experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and maintain the safety of campers at all times.

  • Lead and/or assist with daily camp activities, games, and programs.

  • Encourage camper participation and support inclusion for all campers.

  • Enforce camp rules and safety guidelines.

  • Communicate positively and effectively with campers, staff, and management.

  • Assist with setup, cleanup, and general camp organization.

  • Act as a positive example for the campers

Requirements: 

  • Interest in working with children in a group setting.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to remain focused, patient, and flexible in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Reliable transportation

  • Physical stamina to participate in camp activities, such as climbing and running.

  • Top Rope belay certified, or the ability to become certified.

  • Availability for the entire camp season is preferred.

  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or the ability to become certified.
